Production Facilities, Training, and Ongoing Support
Allsopp Helikites Ltd. manufactures and maintains Helikite aerostats in two dedicated buildings located in Hampshire, UK. Allsopp Helikites also has a year-round flight operations and training facility in Dorset, delivering tailored made training programs, demonstrations, and testing. Capable of flying up to 600ft subject to NOTAM.
Training Courses
Our professional team offers a variety of training courses to suit the requirements and budget of our customers.
Full Training Course. Free with every Desert Star Helikite.
Normally over a two-day period.
The full training courses starts with a classroom session outlining Helikite theory, flight instructions, risk assessment and safety training. After the classroom session, the training heads outside to the Allsopp Helikites flying facility where the customer’s Helikite is inflated with helium, launched, and flown to significant altitude by all the trainees.
The training includes Helikite retrieval, payload attachment, pack up, storage and maintenance. – everything required for the future successful operation of the Helikite, in all required circumstances.
Short Training Courses
Our short training courses are either a half day or full day. They are highly recommended for owners of smaller Skyhook Helikites, or to delve more deeply into specific aspects of Helikite operations. This is because our trainers have many years of Helikites flying experience, and this saves the customer considerable time and money in the long term.
As a customer, you meet the manufacturing staff and receive valuable information not only before and during your purchase, but also afterwards.
Support is provided for maintenance, repair, and day-to-day operations. Helikites can be sent back to Allsopp production facilities for larger repairs and evaluation.
